Installing on the CuBox ip4

Postby adrianblakey » Tue May 12, 2015 10:20 pm

I followed the instructions http://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv7/marvell/cubox to build an sd card - twice on two different micro sd cards- one 16G the other 32G. I have had no success in getting either of them to boot. The install fails in exactly the same way. I have followed the process at least three of four times for each sd to make sure I was not doing something (or maybe I am consistently making the same mistake).

The uBoot loader loads and then tries to load various files from /boot - but says it can not find the files, then it gives up and tries tftp. I can stop uBoot before it attempts to read the files and run commands from its command prompt. If I mount the sd on Linux I can see the ext4 filesystem in all its glory with the /boot /bin /lib etc directories all of which are readable.

Any idea what's going on? Could I try putting the files on say a usb stick and using uBoot to boot from the usb stick? Could I have 2 bad sd's?

Wrong instructions (if you have a cubox I), you want this

My link was wrong - the one you provided was the one I followed to perform the install.
