Synology DS414j

Postby chinatwin » Wed Nov 11, 2015 5:53 pm

I have an DS414j which I am trying to load ARCHlinux on, On the board it has several possible locations that could be a COM port. I have tried JP1 and JP2 but haven't had luck getting either to work. Actually JP2 keeps the board from even booting up.

I am including images of the board. It is based on the Mindspeed Comcerto 2000 processor which is now I believe Freescale.

here are the pictures since uploading doesnt seem to work

Anyone have an Idea how to JTAG or COM to this board. For reference I alread looked on this forum under [http://archlinuxarm.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=7554&p=41231&hilit=ds414#p41231er] but that connection didn't seem to work so I am assuming that the Freescale device might have some other requirement.

I have found the pins on JP1 (Pin 4-tx 6-RX). I can look at the current boot loader. It uses barebox, anyone have any clue how I can get Archlinux loaded from the Barebox prompt?

Does this device have any kernel support? (dtb, etc)
