HP Chromebook 11 - shuts down randomly

Postby kaede » Wed Apr 20, 2016 2:04 pm

Hey,

I'm running Arch Linux ARM on the HP Chromebook 11 (daisy_spring/daisy_skate).

It sometimes happens that when I leave the system alone for a while and come back, the screen is black and the device seems to be off (the lightbar on the back of the screen is off as well). I am not quite sure if it is completely off though, as I can't turn it back on by pressing the power button. Only holding Power and Refresh to hard reboot fixes the problem and the system turns back on.

This happens randomly from time to time, sometimes as often as every 15 minutes. Sometimes the screen is locked (with slimlock), sometimes I just left it showing my wallpaper.

The journalctl logs don't seem to contain anything except for the following, all other messages are several minutes away from the "crash". I've included three logs from different "crashes":

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '

I'm not sure what to do, I'm not sure how to diagnose this further.
