[solved]reclaiming space with gparted

when I run gparted I get

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'N')ot all of the space available to /dev/mmcblk0 appears to be used, you can fix the GPT to use all of the space (an extra 15638528 blocks) or continue with the current setting?

if I allow gpated to fix the gpt, my system ceases to boot.

Any Ideas?

[edit: I didn't exactly fix this, but I tried an approach that didn't involve gparted and it worked just fine.]
