disable auto boot on open lid samsung chromebook

Postby ftravers » Mon Mar 17, 2014 11:45 pm

is there a way to disable the auto-boot on laptop lid open...and instead require the user to press the 'on' button?

the reason i ask, is that my laptop continually seems to get booted into the uboot screen where I have to type 'reset' to get the thing to reboot properly. this causes unwanted battery drain etc.

i'm booting straight off the emmc (not using a usb or sd card) and completely got rid of the chromeOS stuff.

is this something that I'd set in the uboot somehow?

using a samsung chromebook XE303C12-A01CA

thx.

I've actually never seen this issue. I've heard a few reports here and there, but not myself.
