Samsung Chromebook wifi not working

Postby riktors » Tue Jun 24, 2014 8:45 pm

After following the installation instruction for USB I've been able to boot into arch no problems. I then proceeded to run wifi-menu mlan0 as directed and set that up. I have that running and have gotten an IP from dhcp and such. However I can't even ping the gateway at this point.

$> ip addr show dev mlan0
2: mlan0: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc mq state UP group default qlen 1000
link/ether 5c:f8:a1:71:06:29 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff
inet 10.0.50.104/24 brd 10.0.50.255 scape global mlan0

$> ip link show dev mlan0
2: mlan0: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc mq state UP mode DORMANT group default qlen 1000
link/ether 5c:f8:a1:71:06:29 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff

$> ip route show
default via 10.0.50.1 dev mlan0 metric 302
10.0.50.0/24 dev mlan0 proto kernel scope link src 10.0.50.104 metric 302

As of this morning everything is working fine. I have no idea what would have made it work. The only thing I did was take it home and joined my wireless there successfully. It's the same model router so not sure what's going on.
