Odroid U3 poweroff = should not reach here

Postby snowhite » Wed Nov 05, 2014 7:13 pm

Using the latest archlinux u2/3 image on an odroid u3, attempting to do a "poweroff" results in:

hkdk4412_power_off : should not reach here!
hkdk4412_power_off : should not reach here!
hkdk4412_power_off : should not reach here!
hkdk4412_power_off : should not reach here!
hkdk4412_power_off : should not reach here!
...
..
.

and ultimately it does not poweroff.

What's the correct way to power down the device?

Linux alarm 3.8.13.28-3-ARCH #3 SMP PREEMPT Thu Oct 9 22:49:47 MDT 2014 armv7l GNU/Linux
5V 2.5A official power supply
MicroSD card.

I noticed if I plug in an HDMI and pull the DC power the red led stays on a faint red. If I unplug the HDMI cable and pull the DC cable the board totally powers off.

No luck via console. I tried poweroff (which gives me said error) and halt doesn't appear to work. Any ideas?

I have the same problem with U3, but not only with arch. I had the same problem with GameStationTurbo from meveric but only with 3.8.13.28.
So I think it's kernel-specific.

PS: If I unplug power and leave the HDMI cable plugged all LEDs are completly off.
