Mainline kernel

There was mention on http://archlinuxarm.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=7996#p43487 of switching to a mainline kernel. Could you provide any updates/details about that?

- Which device(s) are you looking to switch to a mainline kernel?
- Is there a code repo somewhere if I'm feeling adventurous and want to try it already?

I managed to get http://malideveloper.arm.com/develop-for-mali/features/graphics-and-compute-development-on-samsung-chromebook/ working as far as starting kwin_gles via startx, with working hardware acceleration. This obviously gave me Ubuntu though, and I really prefer Arch.

As an alternative to using the mainline kernel, could I transfer the kernel from that Ubuntu image to my Arch install?
