Alarm on Odroid and screen resolution. Updated information?

Hey guys, I've gone through many threads with regards to configuring the the HDMI output resolution. It looks like at one point people were doing it with custom boot.scr files made using mkimage and copied to their /boot folder. But it looks like this information is now outdated.

Does anybody know how it is now performed?

I'm running:
