fbdev driver 0.4.4-4 is not loading on samsung chromebook

Hey,

I just upgraded my system and the xserver is not loading the fbdev driver.
If anyone has the same problem, just revert to version 0.4.4-3 as well as the xorg-xserver package to version 1.16.4-1 . You can find the packages at: http://rollback.archlinuxarm.org/last. Btw., does anyone has the xf86-video-armsoc driver installed and can tell me the difference to the fbdev driver?

Thanks for the info. I hit this problem yesterday and was going to test downgrading the fbdev driver, but wanted to browse the forum beforehand.

EDIT: Downgraded both packages and got X working. Wonder why fbdev driver broke...

Using armsoc-git with the latest xserver 1.17 results in a hard lockup on suspend.

Did you had any luck with xrandr and the hdmi output? With the fbdev driver only the native resolution is passed through the hdmi output and not the possible 1080p.
