[Solved] Only HDMI audio Samsung Chromebook 2 XE503C12

I recently installed ALARM on my chromebook 2. Everything is working great except the audio.

The audio will play to HDMI devices, but if I mute the headphones or the speakers the HDMI audio shuts off and no sound comes from the headphone jack or speakers ever.

I've tried just using Alsa and using pulseaudio but the results were the same
