"Advanced" insturctions for Samsung Chomebook 2

Please add the following instructions to Samsung Chromebook 2. Without these instructions sound will not work.

After:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'tar -xf ArchLinuxARM-peach-latest.tar.gz -C root')

Instructions need to be added to:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'mkdir -p root/usr/share/alsa/ucm/DAISY-I2S

cp /usr/share/alsa/ucm/DAISY-I2S/HiFi.conf root/usr/share/alsa/ucm/DAISY-I2S/HiFi.conf.bak')

Under a new Advanced Tab the following needs to be added

Enable Audio:

Install alsa-utils and pulseaudio

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'pacman -Sy alsa-utils pulseaudio')

Overwrite the default files with the ones we copied.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'mv /usr/share/alsa/ucm/DAISY-I2S/HiFi.conf.bak /usr/share/alsa/ucm/DAISY-I2S/HiFi.conf')

Add the following line to /etc/pulse/default.pa

load-module module-alsa-sink device=sysdefault

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '
echo "load-module module-alsa-sink device=sysdefault" >> /etc/pulse/default.pa')

Have you got headphones working? Following the instructions I only have speakers working.

Also, has anyone got pepper flash working?

I have not gotten the headphone jack to work, either.

After messing around with alsamixer for a while, I got the headphone jack to work! But I can't reproduce it now.

On the pepper flash front, install the chromium-pepper-flash package, and then get the freshplayer-git from the AUR. It should work with firefox. I couldn't get chromium to work.

It'll be reallyyy out of date, and so you can get the updated plugin from chromeOS and it will work. You can find it with the command "find / -name libpepflashplayer.so"

You'll need to put it in /usr/lib/PepperFlash/
