[Pandaboard] SD card is not available in Linux

Postby itszero » Mon Nov 28, 2011 6:30 pm

Hello, I downloaded the latest package of Pandaboard's boot pack and rootfs. It works if I put bootloader on SD card while the rootfs on the USB drive. However, I can't seem to mount SD card. SD card is not seen in the /dev and it can't be used as a root mountpoint. The kernel however shows:

[ 3.423980] mmc1: queuing unknown CIS tuple 0x91 (3 bytes)
[ 3.430786] mmc1: new SDIO card at address 0001

Is this a SD card compatibility problem? but It works on Android 4.0 ICS clean build. Please help, thanks. :)

Definitely odd. I haven't heard of this happening before, and the SD card in my panda comes up just fine as /dev/mmcblk0p[1,2]. It would be worth testing out other cards to see if it's maybe just that card that is causing a problem.

Hi, it just resolved as I updated to the latest 3.1.2 kernel. I'm not sure if it is related (maybe just a compatibility glitch which just works fine on this boot), but still, thanks for the reply. :)
