Pandaboard ES: can't move data through wireless lately

Postby kleptophobiac » Thu Jun 14, 2012 5:36 am

The original Pandaboard image works just fine for me, but after upgrading packages I lose the ability to move data through wlan0. It manifests in a similar manner to the problems on the raspberry pi expressed in this thread but a static IP doesn't solve the problem.

Can anybody confirm a similar issue? Any thoughts why it's happening?

Thanks to leming for compiling a fixed package. Turns out the kernel broke the driver and fixed it in a later version. Until the updated kernel percolates to an official release and then to the repos, here's a direct link:

I'll leave that package there as a stop-gap for anyone else that needs it, until 3.5 is released. Lots of great fixes and new things in 3.5, so we won't be on 3.4 long with OMAP.
