Wifi No Packets Received using rt2800usb

I'm trying to use several TPLink 7200ND wifi/usb adapters connected to a BeagleBone running Arch Linux ARM (kernel version 3.2.21-3-ARCH). Since the BeagleBone can't supply enough power, they're connected through a powered usb hub.

Although I've used this exact setup on my desktop PC and a BeagleBoard-xM and had it work fine, I can't get the wifi adapter to receive packets:

wlan0: flags=4163<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
inet 10.0.0.10 netmask 255.255.255.0 broadcast 10.0.0.255
inet6 fe80::92f6:52ff:fe0d:5269 prefixlen 64 scopeid 0x20<link>
ether 90:f6:52:0d:52:69 txqueuelen 1000 (Ethernet)
RX packets 0 bytes 0 (0.0 B)
RX errors 0 dropped 0 overruns 0 frame 0
TX packets 12 bytes 1152 (1.1 KiB)
TX errors 0 dropped 0 overruns 0 carrier 0 collisions 0

Sometimes I can get some packets received when I have only 1 wifi adapter attached. But even then it's unpredictable.

I have installed the wireless_tools package, have an up to date rt2800usb driver which is loaded into the kernel properly when I insert the usb/wifi adapters. I can bring the wifi adapter up and there are no error messages in the kernel log:

Also, the LEDs on the wifi adapters are blinking like they normally do when they're working.

Does anyone know where I should look next?

Thanks
