Setting time

How can I get the hwclock and system time to sync after a reboot. Right now I have run hwclock --hctosys each time I reboot.

BeagleBone. I had totally forgotten about this problem until I logged in and it's 1999 again. Does the BeagleBone not have a RTC?

No RTC on board. Anyway I use a DS3234 on SPI (spark and fun). I works like a charm...

What sw do you use to read the RTC, is it supported by a kernel module or is it userland sw?

Yeah, the manual talks about a hardware clock. Which apparently is not a RTC. I happened to have a DS1307 from Sparkfun sitting around. I borrowed a library that was written for an Arduino and converted it to C++. I now have a RTC. Well, I'm able to read from it. I'm thinking about a script to set the time when it boots up. Or maybe a cron job to keep it up to date.
