Beagle Bone Black and LCD4 Cape

Postby WanaGo » Sat May 11, 2013 8:25 am

Hello

I have a Beagle Bone Black and an LCD4 coming in the post next week. I just wanted to see if anyone has used them together?
I am assuming the LCD4 was made for the first Beagle Bone, rather than for the Black... I hope it is compatible though.

Has anyone got one of each and knows if it is or isnt supported?

Another thing is I have read it has an EEPROM on the LCD4, which tells the Beagle Bone what the Cape is, and it configures the I/O accordingly. Does anyone know much about this, and if its possible to manually configure the Beagle Bone with the correct configuration without having to do anything with the EEPROM?

Just curious to what level things can be changed, or if people who use these things just leave them as is, and uses them as per the standard procedure.

Look forward to hearing from someone.

Regards
