No /sys/devices/bone_capemgr.8 [SOLVED]

Postby medivhok » Wed Jun 19, 2013 9:28 pm

Hi,

I just received my beaglebone black and as required by the survival of the fitfest, I installed archlinux on it. I'm currently reading about device tree and pin muxing (learning is just way too cool) and I saw that I don't have the /sys/devices/bone_capmgr.8 directory, but the bone_capemgr.9 is there.

Do I have to do something to get it, or will it appears when I pinmux something on the P8 connector ?

Thank you
Medivhok

Found the answer a while ago but didn't have the time to tell it. I thought that bone_capemgr.8 was for the P8 connector and bone_capemgr.9 for the P9's. I was so wrong. There is only one bone_capemgr.* and the number is random (or I don't know how the number is chosen). I only saw 8 and 9 on google tho.
