[SOLVED] irq/93-omap_i2c consistently taking 51% cpu

Postby abhay » Wed Nov 27, 2013 1:40 am

Hello

Have run into a strange problem today. Suddenly, for no apparent reason, today my CPU consumption suddenly shot up to over 50% continously. (I know how that sounds, I *must* have done *something*, but for the life of me cannot think of anything.)

On running top, it shows that irq/93-omap_i2c is consistently taking 51% CPU. How can I debug what's going on here? How to find what is mapped to that irq?

Thanks,

Abhay

I'm marking the thread as solved.

I found that this was caused by the LCD-Touchscreen connected to the Pandaboard. The driver for the display is yet to be integrated into the kernel. When I removed the display, the irq went away.
