Excellent, I managed to solve all the basic system issues. I'm updating the wiki now.

I didn't try X11 or sound, as I have the television on one side of the room and the router on the other, with short cables... I'll try to fetch a longer cable from work on monday, and try everything

I've noticed a thing: if I cat /proc/meminfo, or use top, the system reports only 638384Kb of memory... is this correct? Shouldn't it be nearer to 1Gb?

It's likely that more RAM will show up when you install the new 3.2 kernel. Apparently HIGHMEM wasn't enabled in the last 3.1 kernel, which meant that not all 1GB of addressable RAM was available.

Unfortunately the kernel is stuck to 2.6.32.9, for additional patches are needed and the CuBox team provides them only against 2.6.32.9. If you follow my link, the missing memory is due to some memory being reserved for the GPU, though.

Also posted hf drivers (source for x driver there), I tried a few weeks ago, installed xorg devel pkg, and run into trouble.

Cubox runs with kernel 3.4, and got accelerated xorg driver working.
Will make packages and rootfs soon

I have ordered one of these, no idea when it will arrive.
I assume the instructions on how to create a boot.scr are to allow us to adjust the amount of video memory/video driver etc etc. It would be nice to know exactly what parameters we are allowed to adjust and what are suitable values.

Is there a way to adjust the video memory without recompiling?

The solidrun page on a home server seems to require changing the config and recompiling

Sorry, you need to recompile the kernel. Only takes a few hours on CuBox.
vmalloc is not then required in boot.scr
