Hi Guys,

Anyone any comment on this frame buffer error after the upgrade? I googled around on the error, and I suspect the kernel is the problem, looks like there was a patch for this issue?

Anyway, after the upgrade the kernel was: linux-3.0.3-1

I have the exact same problem, the upgrade made the omap fb driver to not work by default.

I diffed the config between the 2.6.39 provided with the initial tarball and the 3.0 after the upgrade, and it seems that
the GENERIC_PANEL_DPI went from in the kernel to module. on the 3.0, if i load the module, the screen get recognized and a bunch of new properties in sysfs appears, but unfortunately the screen remains black (compared to no signal without module). I suppose you need to trigger some kind of reinit maybe for the driver to recreate its buffer ?

I ended up reverting to the kernel and modules from the initial tarball (2.6.39) and things just works.
