Boot problems

Postby brad0383 » Thu Nov 17, 2011 1:17 pm

I having the following error about half the time during bootup on a Beagleboard XM:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '[ 5.204925] mmc0: error -110 whilst initialising SD card')

Any ideas?

Bad SD card possibly.

That was my thought, but I have the same problem with 2 SD cards.

Also, if I remove and re install the SD card at the point it shows the failure it will continue to boot fine.

Might be a hardware issue.. though I hesitate to suggest that definitively. Have you tried zeroing, repartitioning, and reformatting? Be sure you're using that mkcard script too.

I am trying yet another SD card and so far *fingers crossed* no problems. I will re-partition the other cards and try again.

I'm having the same issue here, with 2 sd cards too. Do you have a hub connected to the usb port when the beagle starts?
