How to play without display on BeagleBoard-xM?

Postby dlin » Sat Dec 07, 2013 12:10 am

I got a BeagleBoard-xM a month ago.

But, there is no screen cable and serial console cable.

Is anyone kindly help me to boot in the board through ethernet and SD card?

I've tried following http://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv7 ... s-ui-tabs2 to install.
But I don't know how to login, anyone can help me? (without VGA & serial console cable).

I just bought a DB9 to USB cable. I could check the console in putty screen (through ttyUSB0).
All I see is empty. When I press RESET button on BeagleBoard, it display '60'.

What's it display anything on console when I unplug SD card? ( I saw nothing).
I guess maybe it is SD card problem. I've changed two new SD card, both failed.

1. ADATA 32GB UHI-1
2. patriotmemory 16G sd card.

HDMI cable works out of the box with the Beaglboard-xM so you can hook it up on any "modern" TV or PC monitor.
