linux-arm33x 3.14.0-2 missing wireless drivers

Postby moniker117 » Sat Apr 12, 2014 7:03 am

Hello,

I recently upgraded the kernel from linux-am33x 3.13.6-3 to 3.14.0-2 from the core repo and it appears that the upgraded kernel has no wireless drivers. Are they missing?

Thanks,

Short answer: no they are not missing. The modules are located in /lib/modules/3.14.0-2-ARCH/kernel/drivers/net/usb/

Where are you looking to conclude there are no wireless drivers?

There ARE drivers missing, PRUSS in particular, because of dependencies in the Kconfig files, maybe there are more...

EDIT: just installed 3.14.0-3. In this release ATH9K and RTL2800USB are added in the configuration. (thanks Kevin) Does that help?

Yeah, 3.14.0-3 fixed the issue.

That was basically the issue for me, modprobe ath9k_htc was failing in 3.14.0-2 (worked just fine prior to the kernel upgrade).
