[BeagleBoneBlack] Windows drivers for USB CDC Gadget?

Postby ItachiSan » Sun Jul 26, 2015 4:22 pm

Hello,
I setted up my BeagleBoneBlack as written here, so that on my Linux hosts I've fully working USB Ethernet.
Actually, on Windows is not working, as the device is not detected.
The fact is that the drivers provided for the BeagleBoneBlack here works for the Debian kernel devices (ID:0525:a4a2 (RNDIS) and 0525:a4a7 (serial)) while we have the CDC composite (all-in-one) driver that has ID 0525:a4aa, as lsusb shows:
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '$ lsusb
...
Bus 003 Device 008: ID 0525:a4aa Netchip Technology, Inc. Linux-USB CDC Composite Gadge (Ethernet and ACM)
...
')

By manually tweaking the driver installation, I can install the CDC serial driver (by manually adding the new ID), while the RNDIS driver gives problems (it can't start the device).
Also, I can't actually connect via serial and I was planning to just SSH over Ethernet also on Windows.
Any ideas about finding the correct drivers?

You could also change the nodule choice to use the ones that are recognized directly by windows. Have a Google for 'USB gadget driver cdc'
