Acer CB5-311

I have an acer CB5-311 and it's no longer receiving ChromeOS updates.

There's a few scripts around claiming to install Arch but none seem to work.

Not being a Linux expert, I'm not able to build from scratch and don't have enough spare time to embark upon a lengthy project. I just don't want to see a otherwise usable laptop consigned to landfill

Are there any scripts/step by step guides out there that are confirmed to work?

What I need is a step by step guide as the info in the thread is not easy to digest for a Linux newbie like myself.
