[solved] Acer-CB5-311 OpenGL broken after update/reinstall

Postby Kanarok » Tue Jan 12, 2016 9:45 pm

Hi,

I stumbled upon raumzeit's gentle script which helped me to finally get linux to work on my Chromebook.
Unfortunately I had to reinstall after I messed up my update badly.

On the first install everything (including) OpenGL worked fine.
I tested it with some games and vbam-wx

However after the last install aroud xmas, I had to install the gfx drivers from the provided repo (by raumzeit)
Now I can not use OpenGL anymore in vbam-wx but Cairo works.

Now I'd like to get OpenGL back to work as I need it for MAME.
But I don't know how or where to start.

I got this error message from mame:
OpenGL not supported on this driver: Could not create GL context: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation)
video_init: Initialization failed!

Same error on vbam

Any help is appreciated

Nevermind. I forgot to add myself to the "video" group
