Postby dockstreet » Fri Sep 09, 2011 3:43 pm

Hi - I've tried my best to get SDLMame to build from yaourt -Sb.... but it was a no go changed the ARCH to 'arm'. Can someone build it and put in the repo?

It errored out on some asm stuff.

asm = assembly, and assembly = per-architecture. It might not build for us.

Was able to use deb2targz to take debian a deb and run it interactively - but i did flicker a lot- i did try a yuv12 scaler and that seemed to work....

I downloaded it here:
http://packages.debian.org/wheezy/armel/mame/download

created a targz... from the deb

extracted

went to the bin directory and did a ./mame - and it kinda of started up

So it might work?

( I don't know enough to do PKGBUILD competently)

Looks like it needs some tweaking for ARM, the Arch PKGBUILD is set up for x86. Should be doable for us.
