It appears there's no pacman package for x2vnc

http://fredrik.hubbe.net/x2vnc.html

although there's a PKGBUILD for archlinux:

http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=43553

can this be built for archlinux arm?

Would a compilation of the mentioned PKGBUILD work on archlinuxarm?

1) AUR isn't automatically built, unless enough community demand is generated to include it in the build system
2) Have you tried compiling the package?

I haven't tried compiling it yet but would do. It's not something I'm very experienced at but would give it a go.

I've installed base-devel and the prereqs as far as I know.

I noticed in the package description it mentioned x86 but no arm so I wondered if this wouldn't therefore work.
There is a x2vnc package already built for Debian so it sounds possible to port to arm.

Any tips on the steps I can configure for AUR to download, make and install the package?
Thanks

tar xf x2vnc.tar.gz
cd x2vnc

Thanks sincerely for the tip.
In the meantime I tried a more manual method.
Downloaded the files.
Unpackaged
Followed the README with the package
which just meant:
./configure
make
su
make install
and it copied the binary to /usr/local/bin/x2vnc

x2vnc works. :-)

I have another problem but that's not related to this. I'm trying to get my vncviewer on my kindle to work with it over usbnet. Nearly there (hopefully)!

Bypassing the package manager is not a good idea, read the note at the very very end of this page.
