qbittorrent

qbittorrent is available in the new repository, I wanted to try it out since transmission is limited in a number of ways.

Unfortunately, that package has many dependencies that aren't plug appropriate and includes the non-headless components such as qt.

gbittorrent having a requirement of Qt to build, is inherited from Arch.

Is this program operable from a cli? We've got multiple xwindow managers in there too, for the people that actually use them.

Yes, please see here:

Disable qBittorrent Graphical User Interface

First of all, you need to understand that qBittorrent graphical user interface can only be disabled at compilation time. To disable qBittorrent Graphical User Interface, you should run the configure file as follows:
./configure --disable-gui
Then compile qBittorrent as usual:
make && sudo make install

Unfortunately though:

Run qBittorrent-nox

qBittorrent-nox can be launched as usual with the following command:
qbittorrent-nox

Note that qBittorrent-nox is a terminal application and it will not run as a daemon. As a consequence, it is advised to run qBittorrent-nox within GNU Screen, using detach feature so that the user can conveniently logout from the system while keeping the file transfers active.

The new uTorrent Server will probably be a better match to Arch Linux ARM:
