I have found a couple of references to mplayer on this forum but can't see how to get mplayer working on Arch Linux ARM install. Has anyone managed to get it to work?

Use it with SqueezeServer to transcode wma streams. I'm currently using ffmpeg but mplayer would seem to integrate better with SquuezeServer.

The plugs are going to be way too slow to transcode, I'm sorry to say.

They can't even handle transcoding an mp3 in real time from my experience.

ffmpeg transcodes fine for me as long I'm not expecting my PogoPlug to be doing anything else. CPU is around 75%.
