PogoPlug Pro latest firmware

Postby habibie » Sat Jun 06, 2015 11:20 pm

I hope this is the right sub-forum to post. If not, please feel free to move it to a more appropriate sub-forum.

I have a PogoPlug Pro 02 recently bought from Adorama. I managed to replace it original uboot with the uboot.2013.10-tld-5.ox820.bodhi.tar. What I want to do is to flash my device with the latest PogoPlug Pro firmware. I know this can be automatically done by registering my device to My PogoPlug. However, I would prefer not to register my device. So, I certainly will appreciate if anyone here knows a link where I can download a copy of the latest PogoPlug Pro firmware.

Don't know if it is the same for the Pro as for the v2, but here it is for V2: http://service.pogoplug.com/svc/upgrade ... 44_upgrade

Ar you saying the link is for a Pogoplug Pro v1? If so, it is the same. AFAIK, a PogoPlug Pro v2 is the same as a PogoPlug Pro v1, except the v2 is for Canada.

The link is for Pogoplug V2 (aka E02) and other kirkwood devices. The Pro is a V3 and has a completely different CPU no matter what country you purchased it.

What latest firmware is it that you want? You're not really even using their firmware if you have replaced the uboot.

Whatever their latest firmware. According to this Pogoplug Clients &Service Release Notes, the latest firmware version is 3.4.5.12. However, I will be happy if I can download and install the firmware v3.3.0.

BTW, please don't let any 3rd party uboot fool you that it can't handle to boot the original/stock firmware. My PogoPlug Pro 02 which has been flashed with the uboot.2013.10-tld-5.ox820.bodhi has currently been up running with the original/stock firmware for quite sometimes without any additional SATA and/or USB storage.

Their firmware update process flashes the most of the device's MTD/NAND storage. If you have anything on it, you might lose that pile.

So, even after 10+ days posting, no one here knows where I can get a copy of (any version) official released firmware for a PogoPlug Pro?
