Dockstar - Input/output error

Hi all,

I'm new on this board and to introduce myself briefly : I'm a 28 years old french guy and I recently bought a Dockstar in order to us it as MPD server with ArchLinux.

I followed very carefully the [url="http://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv5/seagate-dockstar"]instructions[/url]of the website, everything worked.

But I had a stupid idea last night : I connected first a 16Gb usb key to boot, but I wanted to plug a 1Gb key (to use the 16Gb for other things). I stupidly unplug the 16Gb but now I've got a "input/output error" when I try to do anything.

So my question is : how can I got everything work as before?

If someone could help me I would be very grateful!!

so this is after the system boot?
if yes, do:
dmesg -c as root before plugging the key, plug the key, do dmesc -c again and post what you get.

For the moment, I hadn't try to reboot, because the /sbin/reboot fail in the "input/output error". So should I plug/unplug the AC?

So I'm home now so I can check what you said to me.

The problem is that now I can't connect in SSH to my Dockstar .

Putty say : "Network error: Software caused connection abort"

are the errors related to your boot device or to your usb key?

Plug the 16gb stick back in and power cycle.

It was simple but it works! I juste unplug and plug again the dockstar and it works!

From now, how can I change from the 16 Gb to the 1 Gb usb stick? Or is t a solution to boot withou usb stick?
