installing and setting up mysql with cherokee web server

i have a pogo plug series 4 with archlinux installed with cherokee web server, php, apache (but not using), and mysql installed. but when starting the daemon via "/etc/rc.d/mysqld start" i get [busy] after about 20 seconds or so i get [fail]. any help would be appreciated. Can someone please provide a step my step. i have got everything else running for what i am trying to do. just need help with mysql configuration, setup and running. Thank You, for your time.

i have solved this issue. i have switched to apache. and setup a LAMP environment. (Apache, php, mysql). Hosting wordpress, but getting 502 gateway error from external source. Thank You.
