Something I ran into that might be useful to know...
I installed the Jeff Doozan NAND-based rescue system (http://forum.doozan.com/read.php?4,3896,3896#msg-3896) on a POGO-E02, and then installed ArchLinux on a USB thumb drive. I set the arcNumber to 3542 to get the new LED support in ArchLinux. After that, the Rescue system will not boot. If I set the arcNumber back to 2097, both the rescue system and ArchLinux boot fine, but the LED doesn't work right.
This is a bit discouraging, since I really want the LED to work, and it is at least difficult to remove the rescue system and put back the original NAND-based Linux system from CE.
I'm sure that eventually Jeff Doozan will catch up, and his rescue system will support arcNumber 3542, but in the interim, I am stuck with no backup. (This is more of an annoyance than a problem, since I have several Pogoplugs running ArchLinux, so if one gets messed up, I can copy one of the other installations.)
But it's something to think about before you install the rescue system on your Pogoplug.
