In cold start (plugging / unplugging the power plug)

So after fresh installation of archlinux as you told me very good advice moonman (many THANKS) on a USB key:

I don't know why you added all the sata stuff in U-Boot. SATA should be detected by the kernel without inserting anything into U-Boot (Please correct me if I am wrong). You could just run "fdisk -l" to show you all available storage devices in the system and then add it into "/etc/fstab".

If i don't insert all the sata stuff in U-Boot :

The goflex boot on usb but after he don't detect the hard drive (cf. Where is my eSata Drive in my last post)

How about this:

This has ide reset to reset the sata controller. You do have serial working so in case something goes wrong you have means to recover.

EDIT: Tried it myself. Mine works fine with and without "ide reset" and sata drive gets recognised.
