if first stage b-loader is corrupt you 've got yourself an expensive cupholder, unless jtag works, which i dont know if does for sure.

I have the same situation, I try install OpenWRT on my Seagate GoFlex Home (first stage Bootloader), but now it's bricked (full). I read just a bit about bootrom, but I don't know what wersion I have. It is possible to unbrick my Seagate ? I read that goflex can't use JTAG only dockstar can, it's true ? And second question I read that I need connect TX to RX and RX to TX and GDN to GDN to use UART, it's true ?

while connect to GoFlex Net a USB-flash (with I/O LED) - USB-FLASH LED BLINK and then light off...

I do it through the nokia's DKU-5 cable with built-in Prolific PL2303HX usb-to-com convertor
cable working fine, before the update I saw u-boot and input keys work fine!
yes... RX on goflex to TX on DKU-5, TX on goflex to RX on DKU-5, GND to GND
now after damn upgrade - i see "nothing"

First of all this is ArchLinuxArm forum so we cannot give any feedback about OpenWRT
Second, why do you need U-Boot from OpenWRT? Why not use the one provided on the forum here (and then install archlinuxarm )

OK, I'm not expert, so I read in OpenWRT wiki to flash u-boot so I do that.
It is necessary to flash u-boot special for Openwrt ? Or it maybe any other ?

OK, but I just run x64 Ubuntu and use precompiled kwboot-tool And it's work !!! U-Boot is running and leds work again !!! Now, question is how install OpenWRT to not brick again my Seagate ?
