I have ntp working fine, but have had trouble with the latest arch linux on pogoplug reading my timezone (PST -8), so while I backdated with "date", I'm getting regular adjustments of 8 hours.
Somewhere else here I've read that rc.conf is not used anymore, so is there a better way to set my time?
e.g. date provides the correct time, but says UTC even though it's correct for PST, due to setting it back 8 hours, while ntp pool updates continually adjust it 8 hours up to match PST. I'm sure there's a better way, I just need to have my timezone which I linked form /usr/share/zoneinfo to /etc/localtime
e.g. /etc/localtime -> /usr/share/zoneinfo/PSST8PDT
