FTP Server

Postby guiyoforward » Thu Mar 07, 2013 3:33 am

Hi everyone, this site is amazing. My pogoplug is running smoothly now.
The problem I have is that I am a total noob with linux. I installed proftpd:
pacman -S proftpd
and have no idea what to do now!
Two questions:
1-How can I make it start automatically on boot? hey, I can't find autoexec.bat, I'm lost! :)
2-Does this server, or any other easy to install with pacman, have an easy to use web interface, webmin style?

Thanks again!

Thanks
Install:
# pacman -S proftpd
To start the daemon:
# systemctl start proftpd.service
If you want it to be started automatically at boot:
# systemctl enable proftpd.service

However, you still need to edit a config file. Is there an alternative ftp server with a web based interface?

Thanks. Bit cryptic but still.
So webmin handles proftpd:
http://doxfer.webmin.com/Webmin/ProFTPDServer
Although in my case it was hidden under unused modules
