Pogoplug v2 on a virtual machine?

Postby archlinuxarmomae » Fri Jul 05, 2013 9:55 am

Hi,

I was wondering if it is possible to set up a virtual machine (virtual box or anything else) with a working pogoplug environment. I would use the machine for test builds etc. without compromising my pogoplug server.

Just use a chroot. You'd have to do it in qemu, which is imperfect by nature.

The imperfection of qemu is probably that it doesn't support kirkwood, right? Any alternatives to chroot?

No, the imperfection by design is the fact that it is an emulator, and thus not a perfect copy.

Look into devtools-alarm && makechrootpkg usage.
