New installation of Dreamplug

Postby ineiti » Thu Jan 23, 2014 10:17 pm

Hi,

I just finished installing Archlinux on a Dreamplug - wonder whether somebody would like to make a nice page like for the Sheevaplug, as the two devices are quite similar.

There are (so far) two remarks:

1. I believe that "wireless_tools" and "wpa_supplicant" really belong to a basic system, else people with only wireless access won't even be able to "pacman -S"
2. my Dreamplug (1001-version) hangs sometimes on boot, without any message on the serial console. It hangs at different parts of the boot, but once it goes through, everything is OK. Any ideas on how to debug?

Hi,

i have my dreamplug i drawer unused, with old fedora on it. I would like to reinstall it with arch and start using it again and I would like to write an install guide for it. Before that I would like to ask you for directions. I have looked for guides to update u-boot and to install new system and found these:

viewtopic.php?f=53&t=5062
http://blog.langfinger.org/?p=266
http://www.madore.org/~david/linux/drea ... tml#u-boot
https://freedomboxfoundation.org/ubootU ... ex.en.html

So please if you have suggestions on websites i should read before I start the reinstall share them.
