PogoPlug E02 Black problem

Postby msanad » Sun Feb 23, 2014 9:07 am

hello every one

i have bought my PogoPlug E02 black one one week ago and yesterday i tried to install uboot (/install_uboot_mtd0.sh) and then to install Arch Linux ARM but unfortunallty i go error message (Installation cancelled.) then i forced the installation with (--no-uboot-check ) but again i go this message (uBoot could not be downloaded, or the MD5 does not match.)
the prompet of the switched from bash to pogoplug and i have tried to install again but with no result.

then i found one topic (dont remeber it now ) which contains some steps how to remove some data from flash and the earse !!!! actully i'm not fimilar with these command in unix but i tried it.
now i cant access it via ssh but can access using serial connection , below is the messages i got , it stops at this line

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'Scheduling watchdog timeout to force reboot...')

then start the boot over again

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'U-Boot 1.1.4 (Sep 28 2009 - 11:55:23) Cloud Engines v2.0 (3.4.16)

So it looks like it's using the stock uboot and the stock kernel, but then it tries to use the stock rootfs and that's messed up. There should be a way to fix this. If you can somehow put a minimal compatible rootfs somewhere that the kernel has the ability to access it (I don't know where), then you could change the bootargs to look for that instead. It might be possible to boot using tftp. Failing that, it might be possible to use uboot to copy a rootfs over serial, but that's a job for an expert.

I don't actually have an E02. I hope someone who has done this before will respond.

follow this guide to get uboot (the manual way)
http://forum.doozan.com/read.php?3,6965,6965

and the follow the link in my signature (reinstailling from scratch) to a make a bootable media.

You erased rootfs instead of uboot, and you are lucky that it happened because if you erased uboot without flashing a new one you would have a brick recoverable only with jtag.

Never force update anything if you don't exactly know what you are doing.

I have made the instruction as stated in the topic , but after erasing the NAND and write the new uboot , then reboot , it hanged .

check the blow logs

it won't boot unless you have a usb media with rootfs inserted. You erased the original one in nand.
