How do I reset NAND password on my pogoplug E02?

Postby avi » Tue May 27, 2014 2:11 pm

I seem to forgot my NAND password of Pogoplug E02. Actually my friend formatted my pen drive which had OS. So I wanted to install debian and when I saw the instructions here I realized I had forgotten my NAND password.

Now I followed instructions here and now I can boot into arch. At this moment I don't have any problems, however I would like to restore the NAND password. So how would I do it?

Thank you!

Mount, edit, save, unmount ... in the same fashion you would for resetting/reclaiming any password from linux :)

The process used for remaking an ALARM USB flash drive can be used for making a debian flash as well.

is that how I should do? I boot into arch with the USB drive, mount NAND, edit password and unmount?

and also regarding debian, the instructions mentioned here require SSH into pogoplug and run the script. And also looking at the script, I thought it also makes some changes to pogoplug NAND (shell script noob here). So if I download debian image for pogoplug and follow same instructions, then it will work?

Think just a hair outside the bumpers on the bowling lane for just a second, please.

That script, if you examine it, will 99% likely download and extract a rootfs, configuration, etc. These things are almost always NOT architecture dependent, and can be completed as with ALARM.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'a')nd can be completed as with ALARM.

I don't understand. How ALARM comes into picture when installing debian?

From pogoplug.com
How do I change the SSH password?
To change the SSH password, go to the cog-wheel icon in the top right corner of the web interface, then select Settings in the Web interface, select Security Settings. In order to change the security password click on the Change Password option shown next to the device’s name.
