Pogoplug E02 resets when formatting /dev/sda1 during setup

Postby fyl » Fri Dec 12, 2014 3:38 am

Hi folks,

Running out of ideas here.

I am setting up my Pogo again with Arch Linux using these steps. http://blog.qnology.com/2013/03/tutoria ... linux.html

Whenever I perform this step, my pogo will just reboots itself.

#format USB and label partition
./mke2fs -L ROOTFS -j /dev/sda1

I will see it "Writing inode tables 8/75" and then just freezes on putty. Pogo will no longer be pingable and comes back after 30 secs and back to square one.

I also tried doing all the USB drive setup with ArchLInux preinstalled and just plugging it in to the pogo and reboot but it won't boot nor show up on the network.

Any ideas would be appreciated. Note: i have done this setup before on the same pogo previously and it worked before but just can't seem to work this time round.

Thanks.

1) use the official instructions.
2) .. That is really odd that it "just reboots".
