'Make' Problems

Postby jimmyoo0 » Fri Mar 18, 2011 10:23 pm

I am running a goflex net using the Arch Linux ARM v0.6 kernel and am having problems trying to use the make command when trying to compile some dvb drivers.

I get the error:
File not found: /lib/modules/2.6.37-ubit-01711-g50c16ad/build/.config

After a goggle around it sounds as though i have not got the kernel-headers installed.

Can anyone help with the best way to solve this?

Have you installed kernel-headers?
pacman -syu
pacman -s

I don't think i can just install the kernel-headers as this is a custom compiled kernel as the kernel-headers in the repository's are not for this kernel and i cant change my kernel to the one in the repository's as it doesn't have support for the arcNumber of the Goflex Net.

Not sure who told you that. The kernel maintained in the repo has full support for GoFlex Net and Home. I'm actually running two GFN sata-installs from the kernel in the repo.

You can verify with the patchset in git:
