GoFlexNet not working. Marvell>> Time. Questions

Postby bgulla » Tue May 17, 2011 2:40 pm

Here's the story, had a working goflex net with OS on USB, upgraded pacman and installed a sata drive, then the device would no longer boot. After taking out the disk examining, it seems like the kernel started but would never properly get an IP or start SSH.

I can get to the marvell prompt via the instructions at (http://Arch Linux ARM.com/index.php5/Monitori ... ing_netcat).

But now im not sure what to do. I dont mind starting all over, I just want this thing to work. I have been reading posts about the serial cable but I wasnt sure if that was still needed because I can get to the Marvell>> prompt.

UBoot does hit the console and I could get the logs, but im not at home, if needed I can post those.

thanks in advance.

Because you can reach it via netcat, you're likely not going to need to bother with serial.

What is possibly happening is that it is having issues with determining which drive to boot from.

Make sure the partition you have the rootfs extracted on is labeled "rootfs" -- you can do that from any Linux box or live CD.
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'tune2fs -L "rootfs" /dev/whatever')
