Orange LED-- Do I care?

Postby Socaltom » Tue Apr 26, 2011 5:11 pm

I've got the pink pogoplug, I've installed Arch Linux ARM at least 3 times now. Its worked fine each time until I tried to fix it  . But I have a solid orange LED. Should it be green? should I care?

Its currently booting from an 80gig USB drive, and I have one additional media drive. I'm running openntpd, Samba and pyTivo.
Everything is working like it should.

The orange LED is fine, it's just because the v2 doesn't have any kernel machine init code to properly enumerate the LEDs. For v2's, orange = good.

I have a PogoPlug (pink) and I believe Arch Linux ARM is installed correctly. I have numerous applications (e.g., samba, etc.) working correctly. Contrary to the first post, my front LED light does not work at all. I saw kmihelich's comment about the lack of kernel machine init code, but in my case my light is off. Should my front LED be working at all?

With the latest kernel, there is no LED for the pogoplug v2.

Will it becoming back? I appreciate the positive feedback it gives me :)

When someone writes v2 kernel code to properly address LEDs among other things, yes.

Big thank you for the unexpected revival of the LED for the V2 to whomever was responsible.

I was beginning to research how to add this in to the code base, but this unexpected, pleasant surprise beat me to it...
