AFPD Time Machine issues

Postby cmadooly » Thu Aug 11, 2011 11:06 pm

Hey guys,

I was trying to get Time Machine working on my pink pogoplug by following these instructions: http://www.nslu2-linux.org/wiki/HowTo/T ... ineBackups

I did everything it stated and I see the Time Machine share show up in Finder, but connection fails. I think it has to do with AFP not running as when I try to manually run it, it says:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '#: /opt/sbin/afpd
afpd: can't open lock file, "/var/lock/afpd"')

There is no /var/lock folder let alone a /var/lock/afpd file.

Tried Googling this but couldn't find anything that would be of assistance. Any advice/links would be much appreciated.

Ok, aside from that fact that you might not be running ALARM.. try making the lock dir. If this is running stock with optware, we're no likley to provide much help.
