I have just followed the guide to install Arch on my pink Pogoplug.
Everything seemed to go ok during the install (the sync step was very quick though, reading the guide I expected that to take some time), but when I tried rebooting the power LED on the front didn't come on at all. I have tried rebooting several times and have yet to see a light if I have a USB drive attached. If I try to ssh in to the device (from Linux Mint desktop) it gives the following message:
"ssh: connect to host <my ip> port 22: No route to host". Both network adapter lights come on though, and I have once seen the activity light flash on the USB drive.
If I disconnect the USB drive, the device seems to boot up correctly (flashing green light, followed by stable green light). I am able to ssh in to the device, but can do nothing (the prompt I see is "Pogoplug: ~$" ) as there is no drive attached.
I have tried using arp to discover the status of the device, and when it boots with the USB drive attached the HWaddress is listed as (incomplete), when booted with no USB drive, the MAC address is shown in the HWaddress.
Have I done something wrong, or is it just hardware incompatibility? I have seen other threads that complain about Kingston USB drives, but nothing quite like this.
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Dave
