Can not boot from a SSD disk in the esata slot.

Postby kurre » Wed Aug 15, 2012 1:12 pm

It works when I boot it via usb.

A printout from the serial console follows:
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'Reset IDE: Bus 0: OK Bus 1: not available
Device 0: Model: KINGSTON SS050S232G Firm: 110831 Ser#: 32GBC0050422

Any ideas?

1) it's technically a either an "USM" on the GoFlex Net or just their odd harness on the GoFlex Home... not really eSATA
2) Hmm. Is that drive accurately described by uboot?

As compared to what is the output of `fdisk -l /dev/sdX`

You probably need to increase bootdelay to say 10.

What's the output of fw_printenv (if it doesn't work look here viewtopic.php?f=18&t=3366)

I put in bootdelay = 10 but still no luck.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'bootcmd=bootp; setenv bootargs root=/dev/nfs nfsroot=${serverip}:${rootpath} ip=${ipaddr}:${serverip}:${gatewayip}:${netmask}:${hostname}::off; bootm
baudrate=115200
bootdelay=10')

There's something wrong with your UBIT. Install the new U-Boot (or reflash the old one): viewtopic.php?f=18&t=3355 Either way you will have to reflash it so the new one seems like a better choice :)
